Why was Adam and Eve Created naked? Part A

Few weeks ago, during the Sermon in my church, the Resident Pastor emphasized on the need to understand that man’s position in the master plan of God can never be negotiated. He said “when Eve ate the fruit, nothing happened but immediately Adam ate the fruit, everything turned. Adam and Eve’s eyes were opened and they both knew they were naked.”

While seated, I thought in my mind, if only God has given the two of them cloth, may be the story would have been different. This school of thought made me to begin a research, why did He create Adam and Eve naked?
God created everything out of nothing, so what stopped Him from creating a cloth for them? Was it that He forgot to cloth them, or He never thought of the cloth, or does it mean that there was no clothing material available at the time, or perhaps God love seeing them in their naked state?

Genesis 3:21
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.(KJV)

According to the above scripture, God made a cloth of skin for Adam and Eve after they ate the fruit and were being sent out of the Garden. So, why did God wait till the point of sending them out of the Garden before making cloth for them? Was it that God does not know that they needed one at the initial stage? He is the Omniscience God, which means He knows everything!

All these questions were rushing into my head and it seems there was no answer available. Fortunately, I got the answer. The answer is found in the true meaning of Eden. Most people believed that Eden was a place or a location, but it was never so. Eden is an Hebrew word that means Presence. It was never a location and that is why no one can find it today. It was an atmosphere that God created Adam to live in. Adam had a direct open door to God’s presence, so he never needed to praise or worship before connecting to God. This means God creating Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden means He kept them in His presence, and as long as they remain there, they don’t need any cloth because you can never go naked in God’s presence.

Genesis 2:25
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.(KJV)

Naturally, when you are naked, you feel ashamed. Adam and Eve were naked, but they were not ashamed. Thus, you can never be in God’s presence and be put to shame. God’s plan is for every man to dwell in His presence where no harm is permitted to touch him.

When God was searching for both of them, the Bible made us to understand in GENESIS 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I [was] naked; and I hid myself. This was the first time that the word FEAR would be mentioned in the bible, but it only came to play when Adam left God’s presence. This means as long as Adam and Eve remain in God’s presence, fear can never come close. No one stays in God’s presence and live a fearful life. Adam knew he had disobeyed God, instead of him to rush to God and ask for mercy, he went to hide because he was afraid. This is a proof that if you allow fear to control your life, you can never think straight or make the right decision, for God has not given you the spirit of fear.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.(KJV)

Adam ate the fruit and his eyes opened. Does this mean he was blind before or which of the eyes was actually opened?
